Physical and medical requirements


  • The minimum height required to become an air hostess will be from 5’ – 5’2
  • The minimum age preferred by most airlines is from 18 to 21 years
  • Drug tests and DOT tests should be cleared
  • BMI is one of the most important criteria that should be followed
  • The next important factor which determines your job is the vision test.
  • Far and near vision should be 20/40 with glasses or contact lenses
  • There should not be any kind of mental illness records
  • A hearing test is also one of the few mandatory criteria as 40 dB when losses at 500 or 100 or 2000 Hz are averaged are considered as the basic requirement
