The median salary of a software developer in the year 2020 was estimated to be $110,140.

Nurse Practitioner

We often confuse the job of a nurse practitioner with the job of a physician. Nurse practitioners provide the primary care for the patient, nurse practitioners are register nurses with additional education. The additional education lets them analyse the lab reports, prescribe medicine and treatment, educate patients and family members on post disease care and perform physical exams. The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts a growth of close to 52.4% between 2019- 2029, which will create around 110,700 jobs in this field. The median annual pay of a nurse practitioner in the year 2020 was $117,670.A Master’s degree in one of the advanced practice registered nurses roles is essential to becoming a nurse practitioner.

Medical and Health Services Manager

Behind every smooth functioning health care system, be it a hospital, nursing home, or even group practices, there is a health service manager. Health service managers will require the legal, technical, financial, and organizational knowledge for the health care delivery system to work efficiently. Problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are few mandatory skills required for this job. The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts a growth of 31.5% for medical and health services managers between 2019- 2029, which will create around 133,200jobs in this field. A bachelor’s degree in health administration or a master’s degree in public administration and business administration will also help open the door to becoming a health service manager. The median annual pay for medical and health services managers was $104,280 in 2020.

Physician

From treating a normal caught and cold to the most complicated surgeries and for all our medical needs, we look up to physicians. This job is in high demand not only in the US but all around the world. Just a 4.3% employment growth between 2019-2029, as predicted by The Bureau of Labor Statistics, will bring about 18,500 job openings in this field.  The median annual pay of a physician in 2019 was $206,500, which is double the pay of any other top job.

Statistician

A statistician is a professional who applies statistical methods and models to real-world issues. Every decision made by a statistician will be data-driven, and they decide what data to collect, research design, data analysis, interpreting the data, and creating a report out of the data. The service of a statistician can be applied in a vast number of fields like health care, public sector, physical science, and even environmental science. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics data, the employment opportunity for statisticians is expected to grow 34.6 % from 2019 to 2029, and this will create around 14,800 job opportunities in this field.

Analytical skills, along with leadership, communication, and technical skills are few critical skills required for a statistician. It is necessary to have a bachelor’s degree or a master’s in statistics to become a statistician. Also, expertise in economics, computer science, or mathematics will fetch you brown points while applying for this profession. The median annual pay for a statistician was $92,270 in 2020.

Speech-Language Pathologist

Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) work closely with people who have speech, language, or swallowing difficulties.  They work towards preventing, diagnosing, assessing, and treating speech, communication, and cognitive-communication cases in adults and children. Data Scientist

A data scientist is a professional who collects, analyse and interpret a large amount of data to get an insight. This job can be considered an offshoot of many other fields as this job requires expertise in mathematics, computer science, statistics, analytics technologies, and machine learning. Currently, the work of a data scientist is acknowledged in multiple areas like start-ups, health care, private companies, the public sector, research institutions, and government agencies. Dentist

Veterinarian

Veterinarians are the doctors of the Animal kingdom; they diagnose and treat all the diseases related to animals. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics data, the employment opportunity for a veterinarian is expected to grow 15.9%from 2019 to 2029, and this will create around 14,200job opportunities in this field. The total unemployment rate of this job stands below 0.1%, according to the same research. The median annual pay for a veterinarian was $95,460 in 2019. As this field is really competitive, an undergraduate degree in veterinary science is an essential requirement for this job.
