Most In-demand jobs in Canada

According to the University of Toronto’s Center for Industrial Relations and Human Resources, IT and support desk specialists top the list of the most in-demand jobs in Canada, followed by administrative assistants, cyber security specialists, and web developers. According to the federal government research on how pandemic has affected the labour force in each province of Canada, it is found that in Ontario alone, 109 occupations saw a huge change when compared to pre-COVID days. COVID has increased the demand for many jobs in Ontario and many other parts of the country.

IT and Support Desk Specialists

With advances in technology and the increasing dependence on it for running an organization, IT support specialists find are always in high demand. From providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software, IT and Support Desk Specialists manage everything related to computers. Especially now when people are working from their homes, and entirely dependent on technology, the demand for IT specialists is more than ever before. The median salary of an IT and Support Desk Specialist in Canada is estimated to be $49,525. To become an IT and Support Desk Specialists, the essential requirement is to have a degree in computer science or information technology.

Registered Nurse

A registered nurse is one of the most important careers in Canada and a vital part of the health care system. A registered nurse is someone whose work is very similar to that of a doctor. A registered nurse will be a fully trained nurse with an official state certificate of competence. To become cyber security specialists, the essential requirement is to have a degree in cyber security, cloud computing, or computer programming.

Web Developers

A web developer is a programmer who is a specialist in developing world wide web applications. A web developer should know computer languages and be good at using JAVA, HTML, CSS applications. A web developer is hired in almost all kinds of organisations, from small businesses to government offices. The median annual pay of web developers in Canada is $69,305. Dedicated courses like web development, mobile app development, full-stack development, and a  degree in computer science are essential qualifications to become a web developer.

Big Data Scientists and Data Analysts

It is the job of a data scientist to collect, analyse and interpret the data to improve everything from manufacturing to sales. At present, the job opportunities are immense in this field as every company, from private to government agencies, requires a data scientist to process their data to get an insight. The median annual pay for a data scientist in Canada ranges from $71,613 to $82,713. Digital Marketing Specialists

In the era of online business, promoting a company and their product on the internet and digital platformis something that every company needs; it is the job of a digital marketing specialist to work alongside the marketing team of a company to identify and analyse the market. There are many dedicated courses in HR like BA of commerce in HR management and MBA in HR, offered by many universities, which will help you get this job.

Electrical Engineer

It is the job of an electrical engineer to design, develop, test and supervise the manufacturing of all electrical systems and components. Electrical engineers will also be able to work closely with creating the electrical system of aircraft and automobiles. Electrical engineering plays an essential role in the modern economy as anything that has electricity passing through it is handled by an electrical engineer.The median annual pay for electrical engineering in Canada is $91,832. Veterinarians (Vets)

Currently, the number of Veterinarians in Canada is in short supply, and this is one of the highest-demand jobs in the country. A degree from a veterinary school is the essential qualification to become a veterinarian, and the median annual pay of a veterinarian in  Canada is $95,804.

Aerospace Engineer

Aerospace Engineer must be the most fascinating profession for many students; it is the job of an aerospace engineer to design an aircraft, spacecraft, satellites, and missiles.
